Can not.
There is none. There is a hotel nearby and it is realistic to use the on-site Times parking lot.
Best Unadon and Unagi-tamagoyaki ever in my life but I have to spend over 5 thousand yen of my own. And remember. They only take cash regardless total bill that you spend.
We wanted to give this a 3.75 but were feeling a little generous. As mentioned by others this izakaya is a tad expensive. We had one small and medium unadon (2200+2900) and several other sticks. There isn't an English menu, so Google this restaurant's website and click on their menu with pictures, it'll be easier for you to point and order. If not, the staff will just tell you Unadon. The unagi spine with wasabi was especially delicious and is highly recommended.
Although there's no English menu, the server tried his best to serve us. Very high quality unagi don set. Would definitely recommend this place!
Fresh food
Super good eel on skewers with that red light district ready izakaya feel. Upstairs area allows smoking and it is seating on tatami mats. As everyone before me has said. No English menu but staff speak pretty decent English and you will be able to get by. The skewers are amazing. Eel back wasabi skewer was my fav. Be prepared for hefty pricing at circa 5,000 yen per person. We had 2 medium unagi Don sets and a couple of skewers plus a beer.
This place was a pretty highly rated place online; however be warned that information online is incorrect and they do not accept credit cards.Cool atmosphere of a small restaurant and open charcoal grilling. The servers and staff do not speak English well nor do they have an English menu but given those barriers, everyone was pretty helpful.Mostly serving unagidon (eel rice bowls) and yakitori skewers, the meal was tasty but not really worth the expensive price tag. It was the best eel I had ever had but not by much.
Very nice unagi specialty restaurant in the Kabukicho area. They serve many different unagi parts in addition to the traditional unagi don. The unagi don is good but not impressive hence the four stars, however, their unagi parts are fantastic including the tummy, back, tail, liver, etc. Definitely would come back if in the area. Although menu only in Japanese but the staffs do speak English and are very helpful.
Food is good but price is highï¼
Very good eel. Don't expect any help with the only japanese menu. Just point and try.
Great coal grilled unagi, traditional style restaurant
Is a really tasty restaurant only down side is there is only Japanese menu people there can’t speak English. Because I can speak and read a little bit Japanese thanks to anime watching for all these years:) that’s why we went. This place is more like for locals. But if you wanna try eel it’s a really good place to go. Eel is quite well known here so we came and tried. It really deserve the reputations eel is juicy and taste really good. There are three sizes of eel with rice we went for the medium size cause we still wanna try other food. Upstairs are for large groups and booked so please be mindful to book. Definitely try there home made plum wine (梅酒 Umeshu) its quite good. There are four ways 1.with ice 2.with out ice 3. With cold water 4. With hot water (personally like with ice for hot summer)For price wise we are two people. We ordered 2 eel with rice, 1 plum wine, and 5-10 other small things looking at 10000 Yen. It is Eel so the price is responsible.
It's worth bearing the smoke for the tender yet crispy unagi here, especially at this price point. While they don't have an English menu, it's very straightforward as the choices only different in the amount of eel that you get. The first size is just right for a small eater, while guys usually get the 特上.
Great Eel skewers, you might not even recognize it as eels. Many different parts of the eel all taste different. No English menu. Staff is kind and our waitress spoke some English. I asked her to choose 7 skewers (she gave us the first 7 skewers on the menu, they were yummy). Also ordered an omelette with eel, burdock root wrapped in eel (not a fan), and an Unaju (eel rice box).Reserved through the hotel, got a table upstairs where you sit on the tatami floor matt with shoes off. Press the device at your table for service. You pay downstairs, they don't bring the check. Cash only.
Different kind of grill Eel 😋 love the sake ðŸ¶
Amazingly good
Did was delicious, a few of the staff speak a little English but we managed. Definitely worth a visit if you love unagi
Had to wait for a while even the restaurant is not full. The taste is good but volume is not enough.
Expensive.That's it.
There was no english menu and the staff doesn't speak english but they were so kind and helpful! We showed pictures others posted on here and managed to ask our waiter for his suggestions! It was sososo good and was one of my favorite meals in Japan.
A fantastic place - Really authentic atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. They don't have a english menu, so just ask for their recommendation. :-)
A unique experience of Japanese eel only courses restaurant! Traditional setup with tentami floor and Japanese only menu unfortunately! Practice sitting with your legs crossed on the floor :). Friendly staff despite they hardly knows any English, and despite its location has mainly local customers. Serves some of the very best Japanese Sake in the world at reasonable price. Beware however, they have only eel related dishes,.mostly grilled or charcoal grilled eel parts, eel back, tummy, bones, soup etc.
Not impressive. Not worth the money
What a great little find of a very special unagi shop in the heart of Kabukicho. The price was pretty reasonable for the level of eel you get here, hence, the long line of locals outside everyday. There are better and more traditional unagi houses in Tokyo, but they also cost about 5 times more. Therefore, the value for this restaurant can't be beat. There are two floors; the first floor is mostly counter sitting where you can see how the magic of Japanese eel is made, and the second floor are all table seating on tatami mats for parties bigger than 3 people. The building is a small wooden shop, like many other traditional Japanese dining establishments, just with a long line outside. Most of the time, you can smell the cooking before you actually see the restaurant. Just follow your nose.If you are in the Shinjuku area and are craving for Japanese grilled eel, this is a fantastic option.
Excellent unagi don small restaurants. Food was excellent and service was friendly. Have to try! Unagi belly skewers were the bomb
A local and popular Japanese restaurant with friendly staff. English menu is not available which may limit your choice of food, but may not be a big issue if you target at their famous unagi.
Grill Eel fish only (some grill ðŸ†no meat )Very very tasty not cheap but acceptable Love the å四代🶠sake (not easy to buy now)1000yen by glass (full glass pour the sake even into the dish) 😋😋😋Close to 🦖 hotel and æ¿€å®‰æ®¿å ‚åº—
Great local establishment for unagi lover.
Do not go if you are a tourist! They discriminate against non Japanese and will serve Japanese customers first. Waited over an hour without food while a group of Japanese businessmen who came afterwards were served first.
Authentic unagi restaurant. One would know is not a tourist spot when the menu has no english translation. Do not fear, the waitress is friendly and has the sweetest smile. I used pictures to communicate with her. Overall a great experience
Very nice food and friendly staff
Crispy outside and juicy inside eels grill on charcoal. One of the best eels place in Tokyo!
Very, very good!! And that is saying something, coming from someone who doesn't voluntarily eat fish let alone eel. We mistook it for a regular yakitori restaurant but as it turned out it was a shop that specialises in eel (Unagi) and probably 90% of the dishes are eel related. There is no English menu, but with a bit of guess work and google translate we managed to order two kinds of unagi rice sets , a couple of grill vegetable dishes and some (home made) plum wine. The slightest fish smell puts me off completely, but the chargrilled unagi did not have that fishy smell at all. The meat was firm and juicy, grilled to perfection and served on a nice bowl of japanese rice. All of which were washed down by a glass of the most delicious plum wine. One of the best meals I will remember for a long time. Ichiban.
Very delicious local style izakaya. Full of flavor and Japanese atmosphere.
Fabulous meal, served by super helpful staff given our ignorance of the language.
Very authentic atmosphere, my boyfriend and I were the only tourists in there. Pretty pricey but delicious! We didn't know what we ordered because there's no English menu, we wanted the unagi don, but I think they gave us a whole meal deal. I think that's why it was so expensive. We saw another lady with just the don, so I'm sure that's an option. Overall, extremely delicious and would only go back if I know someone or know more Japanese.
Not a place for you who are a tourist which want to get your food fast. It is more like a place for Japanese to enjoy drinking and grill stuff.Eel rice is normal. Not as fantastic as other review. Not a place for people who dislike smoking room. Not recommended for tourist people.
Great little place for everything eel. However they don't have an English menu so have Google translate ready. Also try their housemade plum liquor.
I eat the unagi(eel) rice bowl large size. Just perfect dishes, absolutely soft and well seasoned suace. Served with organ soup, some vegetables and steamed egg. Very expensive included tax(4,000yen), but totally worth it. I recommend at least large size unagi for an adult man. Because of the waiting line, you’d better go early.
yeels tastes good!we can pay only cash.
Expensive. And omgggg first time I've ever had soooo many boobse in my unagi. I pretty much had to massage my throat to get the food down. Not sure what the hype is. I've had better.
We were recommended this place by our hotel but were the only western people in here. There was a Japanese only menu but the staff were very helpful and we got by with no Japanese. The smaller portion of cooked eel on rice was priced at 2,900 Yen and was absolutely delicious. Had such a lovely lunch here.
A really good traditional eel restaurant in a surprising location.
Unagi donburi is very tasty with nice Smoky flavor. The chef is very nice . But no English menu more pics. But just tell them you want Unagi Donburi and other BBQ side dishes
if you like eel then this is your place! all it sells is Eel skewers. the menu is all in Japanese. but saying that the staff speak enough English to help. I've never tried eel but it was surprisingly good. just tasted like fish. worth a try. you can buy in separate skewers or in 4.. worth a try
Specialized in Unagi - All part of Unagi bbq and some vegetables options on menu. No English menu but you can order by pictures. Recommend Unagi skin and baked Unagi bones.
Expensive, but great quality. Nice cosy place. No English menu available but staff will help you choose as best they can. We ordered the small unagi box. (you can also order medium or large size)
Great restaurant with delicious eel as its primary dish. Menu is only in Japanese but the staff understand English quite well. Smoking is welcome. This restaurant loses three stars as it doesn’t allow foreigners to order anything apart from the unagi, even if you can speak Japanese! This was a big disappointment for me.
Rice is cooked perfectly with that secret sauce in it. Eel is very fresh, and u can taste that just after the first bite! I highly recommend the grilled eel intestines and grilled mushrooms.
MUST GO!! MUST EAT!! MUST TRY!! Guaranteed you will be satisfied. The food is superb delicious. The unagi rice is so nice and very good taste.. overall the food in this restaurant is up to standard and it will make you come back again and again!!
Best unagi in tokyo for sure! The menu is all in japanese but the staff speak perfect english. Highly recommend their signature unadon. It comes in 4 different sizes and different prices for each.
